Just painted this one about noon at Thornton Winery.  It's a beautiful day, but still pretty cold in the shade especially in the morning.  I love these big tarp things and how the light hits them.

I painted this one at the LA Arboretum, the same day as the one I posted on Dec 16th.  I just found the time to finish it up this morning.

I did this painting a few days ago out at Maurice Carrie Winery.  It's a beautiful building at the base of several rolling hills that are covered with vines...very pretty.  I'm working on a series of winery paintings, one of my favorite subjects to paint.

I painted this one a few days ago at the Arboretum with a good friend and fellow painter James Martin.  The day started out rainy but turned out to be beautiful.  I love painting there, the light is always dramatic.

I went to the opening of the Visual Expressions art show in  Temecula last night, and this painting won second place oil.  It's a great little show in the historic Mercantile building in Old Town,  It's worth your time to take a look if you're in the area.

Went back into this one that I painted last month, just to add a few details. It was painted at the Churon Winery and Inn in Temecula.

Here is a painting I did at the HB Plein Air Festival,  I finally had a chance to go back and rework a few things. That's a statue of Duke Kahanamoku in front of Dukes Restaurant by the pier.

I painted this one December 2 on an outing with fellow painter Davis Musser.  It feels a bit unfinished to me, but it was a chilly morning and my knees were knocking together the whole time.

I repainted the splash on this previous painting, I was never happy with the way it looked.  

I just finished this  painting of Old Town Temecula.  I've painted this bank building many times and it is always a challenge to get that yellow color right.  It's a great building though and I keep getting drawn to it.

I painted this one at the Churon Winery here in Temecula's Wine Country.  It's a beautiful little Chateau style Inn and their wine is good too.
